MP:- Match point
In the match point system (MP), each score is compared with all other scores who is achieved on other tables playing the same board.  The goal is to get the highest score possible for your side.  Even an overtrick or the 10-point difference between NT and a major contract may decide if you get a top or a bottom MP-score.
Scoring: where TA = the number of tables who has played the board.

In JBridge the number of tables who has played a board will change, so it would be injustice to use MP-score, because if you for example get a top MP-score with 20 tables, you get 38 MP, but only 18 if the number of tables is 10.  The MP-score is therefore calculated in % of the top score for each board.

Example: a board played by 5 tables:
Score MP MP Score %

3 N 10 170 2 6 25.0 75.0

IMP:- Butler International Match Points.
IMP-score is usually used in team matches, but it is also used in pair tournament and then it is often called Butler.
When you are scoring with IMP, you take your score on a board and compare it with another score.  In teams the other score is the score achieved by the other table in the match. In pairs the result is calculated against the average of the field score, worst and best score not included in the average.  Then converted to IMP score.
